Encore Abstract Acceptance Guidelines

Encore abstracts may be considered for presentation provided that the submitting authors comply with the conference requirements and meet the following criteria:

01

Prior Presentation

The abstract or substantially similar findings may have been previously presented at another scientific meeting. Authors must disclose the prior presentation, including the conference name, date/year, and abstract or presentation number, if applicable.

02

Additional Scientific Value

Encore submissions should include substantial additional data, analyses, follow-up, or scientific interpretation that provides meaningful value beyond the original presentation, where applicable.

03

Avoidance of Duplicate Presentation

Encore abstracts should not simply reproduce the same findings for essentially the same audience. Consideration will be given to whether the new meeting provides a substantially different geographic, professional, or scientific audience.

04

Disclosure of Encore Status

Authors must clearly identify the submission as an encore presentation during the abstract submission process. If accepted, the prior presentation should also be appropriately acknowledged in the presentation materials.

05

Copyright and Publication Rights

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the submission and reproduction of previously presented or published material comply with applicable copyright, publication, and conference policies. Where necessary, permission must be obtained from the relevant copyright holder or publisher.

06

Substantial Modification

If additional data or analyses substantially change the research question, methodology, results, or conclusions, the abstract may be considered a new/original abstract rather than an encore abstract.

07

Scientific Integrity

Encore submissions must meet the same standards for scientific quality, accuracy, transparency, authorship, and ethical conduct as all other abstract submissions.

08

Conference Discretion

Acceptance of an encore abstract is at the discretion of the Scientific/Organizing Committee, which may request clarification regarding the original presentation, additional data, or the rationale for the encore submission.
